外国学生可以申请的澳大利亚高等院校奖主要分为海外研究生研究奖学金(简称IPRS)，此项奖学金由澳大利亚就业、教育和培训部专为外国学生设立。The Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) was established to develop international research linkages and aims to attract top quality international postgraduate students to areas of research strength in Australian institutions.

    1、申请对象

    所有被澳录取的外国攻读硕士或博士学位研究生都可以申请该项奖学金。已经获得博士学位的人不能申请。

    2、IPRS的金额

    IPRS只提供学费和医疗保险费。获得该奖学金的外国学生还需要自己负担生活费。当然有时候大学可以提供生活补助。

    3、申请条件

    A、被一所澳大利亚大学正式录取为攻读硕士或博士学位的研究生。

    B、学习成绩优异，具有独立工作和研究能力者。

    C、在澳大利亚方面要求的考试中取得好成绩者。

    D、具有良好的英语水平者。

    4、申请截止日期：多数学校的申请截止日期为每年的9月底或10月初。
　
    澳大利亚共有37所大学可以颁发共330个IPRS奖学金，申请者可以向录取你的大学申请。

    About the Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
    The main objectives of the Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) programme are to:

    The IPRS programme provides 330 new scholarships each year and enables international students to undertake a postgraduate research qualification in Australia and gain experience with leading Australian researchers.

    Scholarships are open to international students of all countries (except New Zealand) and are available for a period of two years for a Masters by research degree or three years for a Doctorate by research degree. The Scholarship covers tuition fees and health cover costs for Scholarship holders, and health cover costs for their dependents.

    The allocation of scholarships to participating institutions is based on a formula that is reflective of their overall research performance and consistent with the funding obtained under the Research Training Scheme (RTS) for new research students.

    Applications for a scholarship should be made directly to a participating institution. Each institution has responsibility for determining the selection process by which scholarships are    allocated to applicants.
